Sherpa Fiber builds and supports open access high-speed dark fiber networks for under-served broadband communities in the contiguous U.S. We love fast, reliable, and affordable networks that benefit municipalities, the public, and the internet service providers who serve them.
Sherpa Fiber is different in that we do not provide service directly to end users except for the municipality government. Instead our role is to finance, build, own, and operate the core fiber ring network in a city, and then lease fiber to the service providers who service enterprise and residential customers.
Sherpa Fiber’s mission is to deliver Gigabit-ready fiber networks that (1) increase employment opportunities and enhance educational success for citizens, (2) enable municipalities to adopt cutting-edge technologies to more efficiently serve residents, and (3) provide fellow carriers and service providers the ability to enter new markets or expand current service offerings more cost effectively.
